A CSCS account has is a pre-requisite for share transfers, whether buying or selling shares. The Central Securities Clearing System is a subsidiary of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and is licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Nigeria, as a capital market agent to handle central depository, clearing and settlement services for transactions in the Nigerian stock market.

Yes, with your CSCS account in our custody, you can place a sales or purchase mandate via our electronic channels (email, sms, portal) and it will be executed seamlessly with an automated contract email for each transaction in your account.

  • For purchases, the total commission fees per transaction is 1.8555%
  • For sales, the total commission fees per transaction is 2.1855%

This process ensures that all investors’ physical, lost or damages share certificates will be replaced with electronic records and deposited directly into his/her CSCS account residing with their stockbroker.

It’s the process of direct credit for all declared dividend from your invested shares into your bank details provided. This is the replacement of mailing dividend warrant to shareholder’s address.

This is a Know Your Client (KYC) initiative enforced by Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) on all investor’s CSCS account. The most recent particulars of shareholders will be filled out in the update form along with his/her documents.
